Welcome!
2E Consults® LLC uses the expertise of a solution-focused education consultant & who holds a doctorate in educational psychology and cognitive neuroscience to help you understand and act upon test results. I work with: (1) adults of all ages, parents, and their kids to maximize the results of testing from educational and clinical assessments through coaching and skill development. And (2) with organizations working on behalf of children and families to improve learning opportunity and quality of life.
If you are an organization who works on behalf of children and families and you seek to improve or add to your services utilizing the latest information from the Learning Sciences (i.e. curriculum/programming development, staff development, funding, coaching, training), you are in the right place.
If you are a family:
• seeking fresh information about yourself or your child’s strengths and ‘seedling skills'(Copyright 2021, All rights reserved).
• looking for guidance to enable the unique talents and skills of you or your child while also using intervention strategies for weaker abilities…
• looking for ways to differentiate and support your own talent (professionally or as an avocation) or your child’s talent both inside and outside the classroom…
• looking for ways to “be coached” or to “coach” your children when teachable moments or “tipping points” arise in your everyday life…
• looking for ways to empower yourself or your child with self-understanding…
you are in the right place.
"Science is the story of the group average. People are individuals."

About 2E
Trained in both educational psychology (which focuses on learning from the outside in) and cognitive neuroscience (learning from the inside out - in 2E populations!), I am uniquely qualified to assist you. The experience my path has opened to me includes time as a middle school teacher, a tutor/mentor of twice exceptional children, a provider of translation services for college students with declared disabilties, a tenured professor of educational psychology and cognitive neuroscience, a researcher, and an engineer and lab chief of a functional magnetic resonance imaging laboratory. My doctoral training program permitted me to create a unique and singular combination of special education, educational psychology, pedagogy and curriculum design, neurology, epidemiology, clinical psychology, developmental psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and neuroimaging. I pivoted from academic life and laboratory science when the autism diagnosis changed in the US, impacting autism research. I created my practice to help families and organizations understand and apply new information from the learning sciences about human functioning and vitality at home, at school, and during learning, and how to maintain wellness and behavioral health. I collaborate with doctors, teachers, and other specialists who support neurodivergence, and organizations invested in caring for children, adults, and families. In indigenous communities, I marry new information with 'time immemorial' so that neurodivergence is recognized as a gift. My tribal language, Anishinabemowin, values the expression of life and relationality as the animation of life and gifts bestowed on each living thing. Therefore, it is always my intention to help my clients animate new information about themselves or a circumstance into behavioral health, learning and quality of life.Learn More
